So this is the end of an entire week that your grandparents, my parents, have been here with us in our apartment. We have had so much fun with you. They have been able to hold you so much, you have had good nights for the most part and we have experimented in things like restaurants, stores and walks. We can all tell an actual difference in you this week from last week. The changes are ones that have truly taken our breath away and brought tears to our eyes.
You have begun to smile several times during every awake period with little charming dimples and smiling eyes and eyebrows, you have been in your crib for the first time and we all watched as you contentedly and clearly tracked the musical mobile above your head. Today as we watched you, you made your first cooing sounds. These might not sound like much of a big deal, but when you grow a person inside of your body and then they smile at you, it is truly an exceptional experience unlike anything I have ever felt before.
Right now, you are screaming your head off in your grandpas arms but you have been held and soothed so much this week that it has been very nice. Now your dada has you in what we have named the MDD- million dollar device-- the pack where we wear you on our chest. Almost every time you have been in it, you have calmed down within a minute or two. But this time, you continue to cry-- my break's over-- time to feed you!
