Right now I am in the living room watching you on the video monitor as you lay in your crib and whine and talk to yourself in a very sleepy tone of voice. I am hoping and waiting for your arms to fall to the side and your legs to stop kicking signaling me that you put yourself to sleep. You have done this twice before but we are still working on it. This is an uncomfortable thing for me as I would much prefer holding you until you fall asleep in my arms as is suggested by many baby doctors. But, when I have done that and I finally set you down, you wake up and then your nap is over and I have not gotten to do any of the things for regular life that I need to do! So, this is our current plan. Right now you are silent but your hands are still in your mouth.
Last night was your big debut at Casa de Amma-- all the residents were so excited to see us! Everyone thought you were very very cute- but that just shows they can see the obvious. I think you were very overstimulated though because of all the faces-- you threw up on me when I picked you up and then you passed out. Then last night, you woke up at 1am and 5 am, two times that you have previously slept through almost every night of your life.
It looks as though your arm has fallen to the side! I am going to get going on breakfast and dishes!
