Vaccination Station

Vaccines are a big deal in the world of new parents and something that may affect your life quite a bit or possibly not at all. It is very tough for your dad and I to be in a sea of information about chemicals that we can choose to put in your body to fight against something that might not happen or to skip it and risk you catching something that your body cannot fight off. It is not easy. For now, we have chosen to vaccinate you at a slower pace than is recommended. We both feel that these vaccines exist for a reason and that the medical professionals and researchers who dedicate their lives to this kind of stuff do so for a reason.

We are following the advice of a book called 'the Vaccine book' that explains all the vaccines and what they are made of, what they are potentially protecting you against. It has helped me realize that vaccines are a leap of faith, an insurance policy that could actually do harm instead of waiting to be used only.

I have faith that we are doing the right thing but it is going to be very hard for me to see you cry when you get a shot in a couple of weeks that is probably going to give you a fever and make you feel bad for a couple of days.
