Hello boys!
It is two weeks from the arrival of Charlie Murphree if he stays in there until his planned c-section date of 1/11/11. You are moving around like crazy right now so I am presuming that if you have room to move, you have room to do more growing. We'll see if I'm right.
Although we know that God doesn't make mistakes and we trust He's got it all under control- today we got a call from the doctor's office that Dr. Hashad- my doctor for 7 years and the person who delivered Jack- is on an unexpected personal leave until the end of February! So bummed! I hope she is okay and that everything is okay with her and her family. But I can't help but feel a little panic that I am supposed to have a major surgery and get you safely into the world completely in the hands of a doctor that I have not ever met. His name is Kurt Miller and he is apparently the CEO of the medical group. I just need to meet him so that I can can set my mind at ease- but we don't get to meet him for another week! oh-- I don't like surprises right now- I would rather have all my surprises come from you when you are safely here.
Anyway- we go to an appointment tomorrow morning to make sure you are not coming out yet and I have 7 more days of work. It is finally starting to feel like things are winding down at work. This weekend we are going to be packed and clean house and organize your things Charlie and then the weekend before you arrive- we will relax and enjoy our last weekend being just the 3 of us.
Oh Jack- this is so weird. We are enjoying you so much while we wonder how you are going to respond to what is about to happen. We don't even know how we are going to respond-- so your reactions will be very emotional ones for us since we love you so much we can't stand it. You are just about as precious as can be. You say so many words and help us to remember to listen to our tone of voice and the words we say because you copy us. You laugh at farts and burps just like any little boy. On Christmas night we watched the Cowboys game (actually the Cardinals won by 1 point) and as you lay in your crib that night I heard you say over the monitor to yourself- "woo woo woo football football football!!!!!" It was so cute- I held my breath.
Your second Christmas was a great day. Your gramma and papa were here, we stayed in our pajamas all day and opened presents with you watching you play with your new toys so contendedly. You truly examine things as you play with them. You are a cautious and thoughtful little toddler. Although you get very excited sometimes and that leads to really fun silliness- you usually look around at what you are doing and carefully consider your actions. Which made a small pile of cars and new toys quite a day for you.
Time for me to go to bed- I have not been wasting these opportunities to choose my bedtime and choose an early one- because I can't imagine that Charlie already knows his babywise schedule.
