Hi there Jack-
We got home not too long ago from a day spent at the ER waiting to hear if you had a head injury or not. You hit your head last night on the edge of the coffee table, then woke up in the night crying, then were glassy eyed and lethargic, then puked a couple times, then continued to be pale and not yourself. We headed to the ER because you were not right and had hit your head.
It was pretty numbing the first part of the day as our perspective was- you're doing okay and just need to be checked out. After the entire afternoon in the room with you, we got exhausted waiting but thankful that our perspective was right and so blessed- you were okay and a day of waiting in the ER to find out you are fine is better than any other time spent at an ER.
You had a morphine shot that made me cry. You had your first CT scan after the morphine shot. Since I am very pregnant with Charlie- I could not be in there but your dad and Nani Barbara were in there with you. You did so well all day. You are such a precious little man. I hope that people are wrong when they say that having two boys means we will have VIP status at the ER- but more importantly I hope we only ever leave the ER with the results we got tonight- your scan was fine, you did not throw up again, had no fever and were responding normally considering a day without food or milk spent in an ER.
On two other notes- both wonderful-- my best friend Gretchen and John are having their daughter Gracie Rose tomorrow! Tomorrow will be her birthday (unless she holds on for a really long labor)!!! Also- your uncle Matt and Aunt Jessica told us yesterday that they are pregnant and expecting your first cousin on my side in August!!!! So excited!
Sleep well little guys-
