Here you are with your grandparents looking at a story on their apple laptop- it just struck me as unique that in this day and age, it is common for you to be looking at the screen of a computer in the lap of your grandparents- when I was this same size- there were no computers in people's homes and my grandparents would have been the last to have them if there were.

Here we are on the same stone hippo that we took our picture together the other time we took you to the zoo when you were ten months old. The idea that that we will share tradition is so special to me.

This was the look on your face when you saw me driving up in my car coming home from work. Your dad got you in the right place and prepared to take this exact photo of your face- and I will treasure it forever. It hurts me so badly to be away from you every single day at work- but to know this face is how you feel about me- is sometimes what I need to get through the day.
