too big!

Hi-

You are getting too big. So many times I have wanted to write about what is going on but there does not seem to be time. Last week I was home with you off work and it went by in an instant- two of your major developments were that you got really constipated for the first time ( I know-- you are not excited about this news and neither were we) and you also had your first top tooth come in!! Your whole face has changed since the top tooth got there! You are constantly smiling as usual and you have a few new jokes. When I rub noses with you, you start to talk and shake your head back and forth with your nose reaching out to mine. That one melts me. Also, you are going from sitting to standing whenever someone holds your hands out to the side. You just laugh at yourself every time because you are so pleased.

I know I have mentioned that your dad and I pray with you every night before putting you in your bed. We pray for something different every night that we hope God will give you in your life. Sometimes abilities, sometimes we pray for your wife, sometimes we pray for your character to be a certain way so that you will be a strong man whose heart belongs to God. ( no pressure by the way!)

But I don't know if I have mentioned that every single night before we go to bed a couple hours after you have already been asleep, we go in and just look at you for a minute. Just a minute- nothing weird, but we love to marvel at how amazing you are. I hope that you will feel this some day and that I will get to see it.

You are about to be 10 months old so I need to put some of your best pictures of being 9 months old on your blog today. You might have noticed I don't write as much. Here's why-- an important mum lesson about time management is to not stress about deadlines. When I am with you-- I try to be 100% with you. I don't pay the bills as often or organize things as often, or write on your blog as often- but when I am laying across from you on the floor and we are looking up at the sunlight reflecting on the ceiling and you are laughing about its movement like we did this morning, there is no where else I would rather be. You are a wonder and God has outdone Himself in allowing mankind to have this kind of joy. this kind of love.
