patience

If I have not mentioned it before, the hardest mum lesson by far is that of patience. The fact that you as a baby do not have any idea nor concern for what I might need to do or what is going on in the world- you will have your way when you want and for however long you want it.

We are moving tomorrow and our current apartment is full of crap. Piles and jobs everywhere that need to be done. However-- you don't care. You are asleep right now after 45 minutes of straight screaming no matter what I did. All day long, if you cannot see me-- you are not happy. Granted- this is not everyday- but all day today of course- a very bad day to be like this because I am a multi- tasker extraordinaire and you won't let me.

So-- my mum lesson is to make you the center of my attention and block out all the other stuff when you need me. I can tell you right now this is one that I am going to need to learn over and over again. I love you very much but there were many moments over the last hour that I looked at you and said out loud-- " are you freakin' kidding me!!? It's time to stop crying and go to sleep!"
