6 Months Old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did this happen??? My little man is already 6 months old! You are sitting up in my lap as I type this squirming. Last night you were the star of the night at the CDA BBQ wearing your orange jack-o-lantern t-shirt that Uncle Jeff and Kristen sent you. It fits you perfectly and you are going to wear it again on Saturday-I wonder how many people in your life will call you jack-o-lantern in October?

You are going to get your first taste of rice cereal this weekend- your first taste of anything other than breast milk. I am nervous that I will be too sentimental about me not being your sole nourishment anymore. I'll get over it.

You continue to be a happy and smily, laughing baby boy and we are constantly in awe of you. This past week, you woke up a couple of times during the night for the first time in months. Both your dad and I were like--- 'what do we do? he does not normally need us in the night.' We think you are teething and having a growth spurt so needing more food.

The reason I have not written on your blog all month is that we have been moving from our old apartment- your first home-- to a new apartment a couple miles away. Although it is not downtown with shops and food nearby, it is superior in every other way. I won't go on about it because both are places you probably won't remember or even see ever- but you have been so great while we have packed and moved. Even on moving day-- you went with the flow and watched us walk by you with boxes and smiled. SOOO good. You are so cute!

I have been learning to take breaks to enjoy you even when I am quite literally surrounded by things that need to be done.

My best friend Gretchen came to visit you and had a blast and also your uncle James with his dog Oliver came to visit you. You were very interested in Oliver- a black lab-- and not scared at all.

Your squirming is starting to get strong so this entry may come to a close soon but I could not wait any longer to tell you that you are still the best baby! You are patting the computer desk with your open palm. You do that with everything right now!
