growing too fast

There is a general consensus in the Jack T Murphree fan club (JTMFC) that you are growing too fast. You are now well on your way to 15 pounds, your giggle is the most beautiful sound that has ever gone in my ears, you smile constantly and at everyone and you are still following your schedule every day. You love the bath, no longer in the little sling attachment but submerged in the water! We bathe you in your little tub up on the bathroom counter. Today I decided to give you a bath before you go over to Barbara's because you had little chunks of puke in your neck rolls- as you often do. You sat there looking down at your little naked body, leaned to the side so you could see your face in the bathroom mirror--- and you smiled at yourself. When I realized going to get the camera was a bad idea in terms of safety, I just held my breath and watched you enjoy the site of yourself and I melted. You are a true masterpiece.

Today we have had such a nice morning- I have taken to feeding you lying down in our bed first thing in the morning when I am off or work late. You now gently rest your hand on me as you eat- too sweet. We took a walk at the beach today and you were looking around trying to take it all in. I wrapped you up in a shiny Angels baseball blanket for a photo shoot- for which you always oblige, and I found out that if I tickle your thighs, you giggle almost every time. Other tickle eliciting techniques have a much lower return.

You are the apple of my eye as they say- your dad too. You look up at him when he walks up to you and you know right away it is him. This is new and refreshing. We love you so much- have I mentioned that?

Next up- the adventure of teething. You have been rubbing your gums like crazy and drooling like a faucet. So- we don't know what the next couple of months has in store for us but you have spoiled us with sleeping all night and being such a happy baby that we won't know what to do if you start being fussy all the time!

You are asleep in your swing now and it is almost time for you to eat and head to Barbara's. You are four and a half months old!
