sweet cuddles

Jackpod-

Just wanted to share with you the changes that you are going through right now. You spent the majority of the afternoon yesterday being fussy and crying and your dad and I think you might be headed into your three month growth spirt early because you were born a week late. Who knows. Either way, you have slept through the night now 14 nights in a row! Every morning when you wake up you are happy and smiling and cooing up a storm like you are trying desperately to tell us something. It is awesome- also, you are focusing on your hands by touching them together in front of your face and trying to grasp things- most notably an orange tigger rattle that we shake in front of your face- alot. You seem so big to us right now with all your changes and your ever more expressive face. This morning after I fed you, you laid on my chest, held up your own head to look at me while wrapping both arms around me-I was in heaven. I know we won't always have this closeness but I hope that someday when you read this, you will call me and tell me you love me.

Today is a special day because your cousin Tailor (12) is headed to St. Louis with Uncle Mike to compete in a softball competition during the MLB All Star game weekend. She already won for the entire state of Arizona in order for her trip to be paid for to compete with kids her age from all over the country. She will even get to be in the outfield to try and catch balls during the home run derby! We are so proud of her-

I still have not put you in the nursery at church and I think I am a chicken. Partially I don't want you to get sick or dropped and partially I do not want to be away from you after a week at work. You need to go in some time- we'll see.
