hiccups

Hi there baby jack

You and I have had some very fun days lately as I have been watching you move around from the outside, placing my hand on my belly to wait for us to make contact through my stomach. Many times I have felt a body part that is big enough across that is either your butt or your head. It is so cool that I am used to what your hands or feet feel like- as they are usually in my side, and cause me to sit up straight and say yikes--I think you are mostly laying to the side because most of what I feel is on my side.

But the weirdest thing that I have felt is you having hiccups. The first time happened in church. I felt a little bump right at the top of my stomach and then a second later- another identical one, then again and again. Also, it was accompanied by a simultaneous bump straight below somewhere inside of me that I can't describe to locate. After I stood up and started walking, your hiccups went away. Then, at work when I was meeting with someone, you got them again so I walked around in circles and lulled them out of you again. You have them right now and instead of making them go away, I decided to tell you about them. It is so weird to have a little rhythmic bump in two different locations inside my body.

Also, something very fun has happened- your presents have started to roll in. We have a baby shower this Saturday and next Saturday that will be a time for celebrating you and who you are going to be. But yesterday, your dad went to the post office and picked up our biggest present yet-- our Jeep jogging stroller. There is only one problem-- we don't know who it is from and it does not say. So, now begins the process of awkward questions to find out who to thank for this special gift that will frame so many of your views of the beautiful world.

Okay-- I gotta go so that I can call a doctor's office and see if I can find your first doctor! Happy Hiccupping!
