Tonight, on a day when I would describe myself as having no gas in my tank, I just got filled up. We got home late from Awana and showered you up, sitting in your room reading our nightly Bible story from the Jesus Storybook Bible.
I read a story where there were many words I thought you did not know the meaning of-- but I was wrong.
It was the story of Jairus' daughter. Your definitions of words:
Frail- is like fragile.
Fragile- means you can break it easy, like glass
Older people can be frail- Charlie says- "yeah and old people are actually made out of glass."
Mending- to wipe away the tears in your eyes.
Blind- eyes don't work like if there are a whole bunch of bugs in front of you.
Deaf-Can't hear
Lame- legs don't work easy
I made sure to explain that, like the Ranchers, although not every time that something doesn't work right it
gets healed (like Jairus' daughter) that God wants us to know He wants to use us as we are.
I asked Charlie where he got his sweet nature and his loving heart- " from Jesus, silly doose."
Boys- this past week I have seen God's hand in my circumstances, and He has made clear to me that He has been with me through something, seen my hard work and rewarded it. He has shown me that nothing- I mean nothing- happens in my life by chance. There is no such thing as luck for the child of God.
Without God-- good luck to ya.
With God-- ALL things are working together for our good.
What an easy and beautiful choice.
With much left to say-- I have to go to bed. Next week we are headed to California and I can't wait to visit a little bit of our old life with your sweet laughs, bright smiles and warm little hands.
Mama
