old update—I guess it went alright :)

Before Christmas I wrote to you about how we were not going to “do” the whole Santa thing. Afterward, I thought—“there was nothing missing.” I wanted to give you a list (before I forget) of all the things that made this Christmas season special without the big guy in the red suit.

-Decorated the tree together!

-Watched Charlie Brown Christmas special snuggled up on the couch and had to explain that stupid is “not a nice word.”

-Jack attended his first musical- the Christmas musical at Compass Bible Church

-walked around candy cane lane street with all the houses decorated, with Jack saying all the way, “wow, look at this!”

-A visit to one crazy decorated house nearby that let you walk through their house filled with little villages of decoration and had music that went with the lights. (I got a migraine from it!)

-Had a visit from Honey and Grampa for a New Year’s Eve “party”

-Walked together to the San Juan Christmas tree lighting

-Read Christmas story books every single night while laying underneath the tree

- Opened presents under the tree and played with all the paper and toys right there on the floor in our jammies.

-Went to church on Christmas in sweater vest (jack) and overalls (charlie)

-Went to Southworth house for Christmas dinner and practiced using a tricycle!

- Had a birthday cake for baby Jesus

These are the things I remember off the top of my head--- Christmas was the best of my life! I am looking forward to many more to come!
